    To help you plan your day out at the Showground, we have compiled a list of our most frequently asked visitor questions.

    When does the Kent Festive Gift Show take place and what are the opening times?
    The Kent Festive Gift Show will be open from 9am – 4pm on Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th November 2023.

    What’s the full address?
    The event takes place at the Kent Showground. The venue’s address is: Kent Showground, Detling, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 3JF.

    Can tickets only be used on the day selected?
    If you have booked Standard or Afternoon Tickets, these must be booked for the day you plan to attend the show and can only be used on the day and entry time slot you have booked for (Sunday tickets cannot be used on Saturday, for example). If you are unable to print your tickets, we do also accept viewings on smartphones.

    Do the time slot entry tickets mean we’re limited to how long we can stay at the event?
    No, your time slot entry tickets are for your arrival time to the show only. You can stay at the event for as long as you like. The event closes at 4pm on all three days.

    What are ‘Premium Plus’ and Premium’ tickets?
    We have launched Premium Plus and Premium tickets to give you exclusive early access to the Kent Festive Gift & Food Show 2023 for limited shopping between 9am – 10am. These tickets are strictly limited to offer a pleasurable shopping experience. You do not need to select which day you would like to attend. Premium tickets will give you one-day entry on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Premium Plus tickets will give you entry for ALL THREE days on Friday, Saturday AND Sunday. Find out more here.

    What are Afternoon tickets?
    Due to popular request, we have introduced ‘Afternoon Tickets’ for the Kent Festive Gift & Food Show 2023. These special discounted tickets will give you access to the Kent Festive Gift & Food Show during the event’s quietest periods for those who may still feel vulnerable or would like to attend during the quiet time. Entry is from 1.30pm onwards.

    Can tickets only be used on the day selected?
    Yes, tickets must be booked for the day you plan to attend the show and can only be used on the day and entry time slot you have booked for (Sunday tickets cannot be used on Saturday, for example). If you are unable to print your tickets, we do also accept viewings on smartphones.

    Can I book my tickets online?
    Tickets will be available to book in advance on our website by clicking here. For the safety and comfort of everyone attending this year’s event, we are limiting the tickets available, so we would strongly advise booking online to guarantee entry to the show on your day of choice. We are hoping to have a small amount of tickets available on the gate, however these will be subject to availability.

    Can I book tickets over the phone?
    Yes, the number to call is 0333 242 7912. Lines will be open Monday – Friday between 9am and 3pm excluding Bank Holidays. The cost to call 0333 numbers is the same as calling a normal local or national land line. If your tariff or call package offers free or inclusive calls to landlines, numbers starting with 03 will normally be included free of charge.

    I’m having trouble booking tickets – what should I do?
    If you have problems with your tickets or the ticket booking process, please contact our ticket support team at RedBox who will be able to assist you. Please call 0333 242 7912 or email support@yourticketbooking.com.

    I can’t find my confirmation email – how do I get it resent?
    If you’ve deleted your email confirmation or just can’t find it you can have it resent to the original email address used. Please contact our ticket support team at RedBox who will be able to assist you by emailing support@yourticketbooking.com.

    Is there an additional charge for parking?
    No, parking at the Kent Showground is free for visitors. There are plenty of car parking spaces available, some hard-standing and the remainder on grass.

    How far is the car park from the show entrance?
    The main car park is around five minutes walk to the Main Exhibition Hall entrance.

    Is the Showground accessible by public transport?
    No, the Showground is not accessible by public transport. For further information and directions to the Showground please visit the Kent Event Centre website here.

    Is the show accessible for wheelchairs?
    Yes, the show is on flat ground so is accessible for wheelchair users.

    Are there parking facilities for those who need accessibility?
    Yes. The spaces are as close as possible to the entrance at the show. Please ask staff on arrival and they will direct you to these spaces.

    Do you have a concession for carers?
    Yes, we offer free entry for carers. You will need to book tickets for everyone else in your group but the carer/s will receive complimentary entry. Just let the team on the gate know and they will arrange entry.

    Is the Christmas Fair indoors or outdoors?
    This year’s Christmas Fair is both indoors and outdoors, so we advise visitors to dress accordingly for all weather.

    Are prams and buggies allowed?
    Buggies and prams will be permitted at the Kent Festive Gift & Food Show 2023. Please note that the show is expected to be busy during peak hours so if you are attending with young children we would recommend booking into our 1.30pm onwards arrival time slot (this is just a recommendation).

    Are dogs allowed in the grounds?
    Dogs on leads are allowed in the extensive parkland around the Showground, but not in the Main Exhibition Hall. This is for animal safety and welfare as the show is expected to be busy, especially during peak hours, which can be uncomfortable for dogs. Guide dogs for the blind or for the hard of hearing are, however, welcome in all areas. Please respect our surroundings and pick up any waste after your dog and dispose of it in the dog litter bins that are situated in various places around the park.

    Can I enter the show more than once during my visit?
    Yes, we will issue hand stamps for anyone wishing to return throughout the day of their visit.

    I can no longer attend. Can I get a refund?
    We’re sorry that you’re no longer able to join us, but all tickets are non-refundable.

    Please Note: There are no live children’s characters/actors at our 2023 show.



    Whilst we advertise events, activities and entertainments we will not be held responsible for the failure of any events, activity and/or entertainment being available or the quality of any of the events, activities or entertainments. Failure of any of these to please cannot be held as a reason for refund.
